An Invisible Illness

“Endo, what?”

Before we begin, if you have never heard of endometriosis before (and don’t worry, most people haven’t), you can check out an explanation here.

If you’re suffering from endometriosis (or any chronic illness), I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Please know, you are not alone. I know how it feels when endo takes away your energy, your vitality, your motivation, your physical freedom and completely dulls your sparkle.

I know that it can feel lonely, scary and overwhelming. Since it is an illness that is not outwardly visible and is rarely spoken about openly, it can feel like no one understands or really cares. It can feel like there are no effective treatment options and even less hope for a vibrant, healthy life.

But I have hope. I believe there are options. I believe awareness is growing. I believe it’s possible to live a sparkly life with endo. I think it starts by sharing our stories and experiences – to help us feel less alone; to increase our knowledge; to make this invisible illness visible. That is exactly what this blog is about. So, thankyou for being here.
